I’m a journalist and analyst specialising in technology, media and business strategy. My work appears in the pages of The Times, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, on The Guardian website, Bloomberg.com, NYT.com and in specialist news brands such as Campaign and IDGConnect. I write reports on technology issues including artificial intelligence, adtech and big data.
For The Guardian, I contribute to supplements on technology and apprenticeships. I’ve also written up a series of sponsored round-table discussions covering robotics, AI, cybersecurity and retail.
I write pieces for Bloomberg.com’s content studio such as a series of articles sponsored by Siemens Healthineers about value-based healthcare. I recently wrote a number of articles for the New York Times content arm T Brand about the use of artificial intelligence in analysing human emotions. These appeared on nytimes.com.
I’ve written widely for Raconteur, which creates special subject supplements for The Times and The Sunday Times. My work has included articles on wearable technology, the Internet of Things and the digital economy.
I’ve researched and written a 15,000-word report on the use of mobile marketing in the travel business for industry specialists EyeforTravel.com.
My corporate work includes appearing in corporate videos as a retail futurologist, chairing conference sessions, ghost-writing comment pieces on cybersecurity and putting together strategy papers and press releases for advertising agencies. I’ve also written up awards entries and advertorials. At the 2019 Cannes Lions, I blogged about the conference sessions for media agency PHD Worldwide.
